All About My Four-Legged Friends

Well anyone who knows me knows what a huge animal lover I am. We have three dogs and a hamster named Morris =). The dogs are members of our family and pretty spoiled but we love them to death.

Bear

Bear, or Miss Bear as I like to call her, is really my dog. She's a 7 year old German Shepherd/Lab/Chow mix. She's a real sweetheart and loves everyone and everything. She loves to play, especially with tennis balls and Silly Slammers. I know Silly Slammers aren't dog toys but she just loves them so much because she likes to hear them talk. For anyone who doesn't know what they are, they are children's toys that you throw down to the floor and they have their own little sayings and what not. Well Bear likes to pick them up and throw them down herself so she can hear them. I've bought her quite a large collection of them. I wouldn't be suprised if she has close to fifty or so but she's worth it. She's had to have two operations to have cysts removed from her each of her eyes. It's possible she could keep getting them but I hope not. She also likes to talk back to people too and howl when she wants attention. She has a very bad habit of jumping on the counter/table/whatever so she can get whatever food she possbily can, much to my parents' displeasure. And of course, she has a St. Louis Cardinals collar. Puglsey has a St. Louis Rams collar and Tara has a St. Louis Blues collar so we have all three St. Louis sports teams covered =) There are some pics of her below, including a couple from when she was a puppy =) They're thumbnails so click on them to get the full size. They all open in a seperate window.

Tara

Tara is my sister's dog. She's about 11 years old and a Shepherd mix. She is extremely shy and scared of just about everything, especially the phone ringing. She rarely lets new people around her but she really is a sweetheart. We got her when she was about 4 months old and we believe she was abused when she was a puppy before we got her. She spends most of the day sleeping and at any given time you can usually find her on a bed somewhere in the house =) Some pictures of her are below. Again, they are thumbnails so click to view the full size.

Puglsey

Pugsley I guess is pretty much the family dog but mostly my mom and dad's. He's about 6-ish...6 months younger than Bear. I like to call him "Pugs" or "Mr. Pugs." He is an Austrailian Shepherd/Siberian Husky/Chow mix...some also think he has some border collie in him as well. He's not as super friendly as Miss Bear...a lot of times he just doesn't care about much around him. We got him from my cousin who was just going to get rid of him but we couldn't let her do that so we took him instead. He is pretty reserved around strangers but once you get to know him, he's a sweetie too. He's also a foot dog...if you're sitting down somewhere he'll come over to you and rest his head against your foot. He also gets pretty spooked over a few things and tries to hide behind things when he's scared or he tries to go hide in my sister's closet if it's open. Some pics of him are below.
